Licensed Practical Nurses will be automatically entered to win $350 if they complete their 2014 Registration Renewal Application for an Active Practice Permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) before November 1, 2013.
The CLPNA strongly encourages their 11,000 members to renew early. Members who delay and chose to renew immediately before the deadline risk difficulties in receiving individual help by registration staff.
The Registration Renewal Deadline is December 1.
LPNs with an Active Practice Permit must complete the annual Registration Renewal Application in order to work in Alberta as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Before the December 1 deadline, the fee is $350. An Associate, or non-practicing, member may renew for $50.
Only individuals with a valid CLPNA Practice Permit (Active/Limited/Temporary/Conditional) are authorized to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta or use the title “LPN”, as per s43 of the Health Professions Act.
To validate the current and future registration status of a LPN, specialties or conditions, anyone can search CLPNA’s Public Registry of LPNs by name or registration number.
