Our latest video is an overview of the 2014 Registration Renewal process and Continuing Competency Program for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).

LPNs with an Active Practice Permit must complete the annual Registration Renewal Application in order to work in Alberta as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

The Registration Renewal Deadline is December 1, 2013 for the 2014 calendar year.

Only individuals with a valid CLPNA Practice Permit (Active/Limited/Temporary/Conditional) are authorized to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta or use the title “LPN”, as per s43 of the Health Professions Act.
