Thousands of Licensed Practical Nurses have already completed their 2015 Registration Renewal application, and the CLPNA encourages the remaining nurses to complete theirs by the December 1 deadline.
Because of the deadline, the final days in November tend to be the busiest for the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Members are strongly urged to renew early for quickest access to customer service and the lowest rate.
Fee goes up Dec 2
The renewal fee for an Active Practice Permit increases to $380 on December 2. Online renewal ends December 31.
For those who renewed in October, the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) will announce the winner of the “Renew Early & Win $350” Contest in mid-November.
CLPNA closed for Christmas week
Members anticipating contacting the CLPNA for help with Registration Renewal are reminded that the office is closed for Christmas week (December 22-26) and additional holiday hours.
Practicing without a current Practice Permit is illegal
Only individuals with a valid CLPNA Practice Permit (Active/Limited/Temporary/Conditional) are authorized to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta or use the title “LPN”, as per s43 of the Health Professions Act.
