2 ways for employers to verify LPN registration

Employer Verification of LPNsTo ensure Licensed Practical Nurse employees are able to practice for 2015, Alberta employers are strongly encouraged to confirm employee’s registration status between December 2-31.

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) provides two methods to verify an LPN’s:

  • Name
  • CLPNA Registration Number
  • Current & future Practice Permit expiry date
  • LPN specialties (immunization, dialysis, orthopaedics, operating room)
  • Registration or disciplinary conditions

#1 Individually – Public Registry of LPNs

Employers, managers and the public may verify LPNs registration status using the CLPNA’s Public Registry of LPNs by CLPNA Registration Number or Last Name. No login or password is required.

#2 Facility – Employer Verification of LPNs

Authorized persons can now sign up for Employer Verification of LPNs to view a complete list of all LPN employees by facility.
