Thanks to Calgary Radio Stations 101.5 KooL FM and Wild 95.3 for partnering with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta for the 2018 Public Awareness Campaign, and sharing the message about the competent, committed, care provided by today’s Licensed Practical Nurse.

During National Nursing Week, May 7-13, on-air personalities, Bo and Jess from Wild 95.3 visited nursing units at local Calgary hospitals (including the South Health Campus Rapid Access Unit & Surgical Unit, above) with CLPNA gift bags to thank LPNs, and their healthcare colleagues for their hard work and dedication to patient care each day. As a former LPN, Jess has special appreciation for each of these talented, caring individuals.

Social media posts and live chatter from both stations helped raise awareness about the week-long celebration and the vital role of nursing professionals in healthcare.
