Grande Prairie LPNs begin voting in 2018 District 6 Council Election

Two Licensed Practical Nurses are running to become District Representative to the CLPNA’s Council in District 6 (Grande Prairie & area).

Voting begins today for newcomer David Haastrup, LPN, and incumbent Joyce Rossiter, LPN, whose Nominations Profiles will remain available for the duration of the election. Eligible voters are notified and linked to their secure ballot by email.

The CLPNA’s Bylaws states if two or more nominees are received for a District, an election is held. If a District receives a single nomination, the nominee becomes a Council member by acclamation. Results will be published on

The CLPNA is governed by a Council, which consists of members of the profession elected by LPNs) and three government-appointed public members. Council regulates the profession and oversees the CLPNA’s management, actions, and policy development within the framework of the Health Professions Act.
