Southern and central LPNs vote in Council Elections

Elections begin June 12 for two Election Districts with nominees running for the Council of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).

The CLPNA Bylaws indicate that if two or more nominees are received for a District, an election is held. Therefore, ballots will be sent by to all eligible LPNs residing in those Districts by end of day. Voting closes June 30, 2019 at midnight (MT).

There were no nominees for District 5; the Council will continue to search for a suitable candidate. Results will be published on www.clpna.com.

Council’s role is to govern the profession and oversee the CLPNA’s management, actions, and policy development within the framework of the Health Professions Act. The CLPNA’s primary responsibility is regulating the LPN profession, setting and maintaining standards to ensure the public receives safe, competent, and ethical healthcare services.
