Webinar: PTSD Awareness and Mental Health & Wellness Strategies (June 9)

Research shows there is a high occurrence of stress in the lives of healthcare providers, including nurses, and this can have a significant effect on psychological health and well-being.

This webinar will discuss the potential impact of a high-stress work environment and the patterns and prevalence of developing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The discussion will include strategies to increase awareness and support wellness within the nursing profession.

At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Define post-traumatic stress and common signs and symptoms.
  • Identify contributors to one’s own levels of stress in nursing practice.
  • Discuss strategies for mitigating the impact of and preventing traumatic stress.
  • Identify steps toward personal wellness, resilience, and a positive work culture.
