CLPNA’s Bylaws revised due to Regulation changes

February’s amended LPN Regulation created a ripple effect through the CLPNA’s projects and processes including, now, its Bylaws.

Many of the Bylaw changes update terminology to match that used in the LPN regulation. For example, replacing the term “temporary register” with “provisional register”, and deletion of “specialized practice register”.

Other changes include the President’s term increasing from two to three years, clarifying the role of the Education Standards Advisory Committee, establishing a future student membership category on the non-regulated members register, and establishing fees for assessing practical nursing refresher programs and advanced practice training programs.
