In order to administer vaccines, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) must have the knowledge, skill, judgment, and competencies related to immunization to practice safely.
Additionally, the Government of Alberta’s Immunization Regulation gives all health professionals in Alberta, including LPNs, legal responsibilities regarding immunizations to better protect the public.
