Apply to Serve on the CLPNA’s Council

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) is looking for committed Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with strong leadership abilities, professional knowledge, and experience to serve on the Council for the upcoming term beginning September 1, 2021.

Council members are responsible for the overall direction of the CLPNA through policy governance. Serving on Council as a regulated member is a valuable opportunity for LPNS to support public protection through regulation.

The Council is made up of Six Public Members and Six Regulated Members. Together, their unique perspectives, experience, skills, and knowledge add collective value to the Council. It is important to have a diverse board, both socially and professionally.

The Council Competency Matrix outlines the attributes that will enhance the functioning of the Council so that it can perform its legislated mandate effectively. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in the Council Member Application Information and meet the competencies required for the role.
