The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) has cancelled its Continuing Competence Program Audit for 2021.
The CLPNA expects all Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to participate in the Continuing Competence Program annually. Participation in the CCP demonstrates a commitment by members of the profession to maintain and/or improve knowledge and skill.
LPNs are still expected to complete their Learning Plan for 2021. It is only the CCP Audit which is cancelled.
The annual audit measures compliance with the Continuing Competence Program. LPNs must still follow CCP requirements during the Registration Renewal process, despite this cancellation.
