Info Sheet: Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) Attempts

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) manages access to the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) through the registration process in Alberta. Successful completion of the CPNRE is required to be registered as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province.

The CLPNA Council approved the following Council Policy on the Certification of CPNRE Results. This Policy authorizes the CPNRE as a registration examination after recent updates were made to the national exam.
