Webinar: New Graduate Registration Information (March 23)

To work or accept employment in Alberta, Licensed Practical Nurses must be registered and have a valid Practice Permit from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA), as per the Health Professions Act (HPA) of Alberta.

Provisional Registration allows new graduates who have completed an approved Practical Nursing Program in Alberta to practice (work) as a nurse under supervision while waiting to write the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE).

This webinar, presented by the CLPNA’s Registration Team will provide information on:

  • What Provisional Registration is
  • How to apply for Provisional Registration
  • How to access and write the Jurisprudence Exam
  • How to apply for and write the CPNRE
  • When you can start working as an LPN
  • What to do if you need a Provisional Registration extension

This webinar includes a live Q&A with CLPNA representatives and can be used as part of continuing competence learning activities.
