CLPNA Education Forum
The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) is currently assessing the future of the Education Forum.
History of the Education Forum
The CLPNA’s Education Forum is a one-day event focused on sharing essential regulatory, practice, and conduct information with LPNs, from new graduates to seasoned nurses. The Forum features presentations from a diverse set of healthcare experts. The Education Forum was changed from a multi-day conference to a one-day event format in 2020. The one-day format was developed in response to LPN feedback, including the overwhelming and enthusiastic participation in the CLPNA’s one-day workshops and webinars.
Looking for additional learning opportunities with the CLPNA?
LPNs are required to participate in the CLPNA’s Continuing Competence Program. As professional nurses, it is necessary to keep current with the knowledge and competence required for today’s practice environments. The CLPNA currently offers many continuing competence learning opportunities. Educational materials are free and address relevant nursing topics.
