Webinar: Duty to Report (March 11)

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) encounter varied situations in their practice. These situations may involve the professional and legal duty to report information to certain authorities or designated persons as part of the healthcare team. An LPN’s legal duty to report may be required by legislation, professional expectations, or employer requirements. Some example types of information that must be reported are breaches of health information, communicable and notifiable diseases, immunizations, and abuse.

This webinar provides LPNs with:

  • Knowledge of what needs to be reported and to whom.
  • Awareness of legal obligations related to the Duty to Report.
  • Awareness of CLPNA documents related to the Duty to Report.

The webinar includes a LIVE Q&A with representatives from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta’s Professional Practice and Policy departments.
