Alberta Association on Gerontology
Alberta Association on Gerontology (AAG) is a province-wide interdisciplinary organization that seeks to enhance the lives of the aging population through support of persons involved in and concerned with gerontology. AAG provides a vehicle for networking among individuals and organizations interested in gerontology and to stimulate opportunities that enhance the knowledge and practice of people interested in gerontology.
Alberta Health is the ministry that sets policy, legislation and standards for the health system in Alberta. The ministry allocates health funding and administers provincial programs such as the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan and provides expertise on communicable disease control. The Canadian Council for Practical Nurse Regulators (CCPNR) is a federation of provincial and territorial members identified in legislation responsible for the safety of the public through the regulation of Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses.
