PRE-AUTHORIZED DEBIT PLAN (PAD)
The enhanced Pre-Authorized Debit Plan (PAD) is a CLPNA pre-payment option that allows regulated members to pay a future Registration fee for an Active Practice Permit using automatic withdrawal from their bank account.
The PAD Plan is self-managed through the member’s profile in myCLPNA.com where members can subscribe/unsubscribe, update banking info, and check their balance.
Starting January 1, 2023 PAD subscribers can sign up to pay in advance for their 2024 Registration fee in 10 monthly withdrawals starting February 1, 2023 and ending November 1, 2023.
2023 PAD subscribers will have their fees adjusted for the 2024 registration year only, for more details see: Changes Coming to LPN Registration Dates in 2024.
Members may subscribe at anytime outside of the Registration Renewal period.
NEW SUBSCRIBERS
New subscribers can sign up to make payment for the following year’s Registration fees.
Note: New subscribers cannot sign up for PAD during Registration Renewal Oct 1 – Dec 31.
Payments will be withdrawn monthly from February 1 to November 1. If a subscriber signs up after January 24th, the remaining balance will be due upon completion of the Registration Renewal application.
Subscribers must have an Active Practice Permit to be eligible to use PAD for the following registration year.
The simple subscription process is available through myCLPNA.com. See the tab marked “Sign up for PAD”.
CURRENT SUBSCRIBERS
REGISTRATION RENEWAL FORM STILL REQUIRED
PAD subscription is only for pre-payment. PAD subscribers must still submit a completed Registration Renewal form annually to receive a Practice Permit for the year.
CONTINUING SUBSCRIPTION
Once signed up, automatic withdrawals will continue until the subscriber cancels the PAD subscription through myCLPNA.com.
UPDATING BANKING INFO
Subscribers can update their banking information anytime through myCLPNA.com. As there can be processing delays for bank changes please ensure that you change your banking information prior to the 25th for changes for the following month. Changes made after the 25th of a month may not be reflected in the next withdrawal.
NSF PAYMENTS
If a withdrawal attempt on the 1st of the month is returned due to non-sufficient funds, a second automatic withdrawal will be attempted five banking days later.
If the second withdrawal attempt returns NSF, a $60 payment is required ($35 PAD payment + $25 NSF fee) to remain on PAD. The CLPNA will contact the member with details.
If the subscribed bank account is closed and the member cannot be contacted, or if there has been two NSFs, the member will automatically be cancelled from PAD. The CLPNA will issue a refund for the amount withdrawn to date less a $25 administration fee.
CANCELLING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
The PAD subscription can be cancelled at any time by emailing registration@clpna.com and stating that you want your PAD cancelled and refunded. The amount withdrawn to date will be refunded less a $25 administration fee.
