Overview

Bill 21 introduced new requirements that apply to all regulated health professionals in Alberta. The revisions to the Health Professions Act (HPA) define ‘sexual abuse’ and ‘sexual misconduct’ and establish obligations on health professionals and regulatory colleges.

This video will:

  • Introduce Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to Bill 21
  • Inform LPNs about mandatory reporting
  • Explain changes to processes at the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Expand on new Standards of Practice/Education requirements for LPNs related to Bill 21
