Overview

Infection prevention and control (IPC) is an integral part of nursing practice to protect both patients and nurses from the spread of disease. The purpose of this practice guideline is to provide nurses with knowledge and guidance for IPC in their practice. The goal is to prevent harm, help prevent the transmission of infections, and promote patient safety in places where nurses provide care.
