Webinar: What Is a Restricted Activity?
(April 23 & 25)

Restricted Activities are high risk health services listed in section 1.3 of the Health Professions Act. LPNs are authorized to perform restricted activities outlined in Health Professions Restricted Activities Regulation and in accordance with requirements in standards of practice. The requirements for supervision of restricted activities are outlined in the Standards of Practice for LPNs on Restricted Activities, Advanced Practice, and Supervision.

LPNs must ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform restricted activities in a specific situation and environment. If not, LPNs are responsible for seeking assistance to ensure the client receives the required care.
