Valid Identification

All applicants are required to provide two pieces of government issued identification (ID). Both pieces of ID provided must be current and valid at the time of the application assessment.  

The following are ACCEPTABLE forms of identification: 

• Birth Certificate 
• Passport
• Driver’s License 
• Citizenship Certificate – Must show front & back
• Citizenship Card
• Alberta Identification Card
• Other Provincial Identification Card 
• Permanent Resident Card
• Indian Status Card (Treaty Card) – Issued by Government of Canada
• Métis Citizenship Card – Issued by a Provincial Government
