New Module: Understanding the Standards of Practice for Restricted Activities, Advanced Practice, and Supervision

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) has released a new LMS module, Understanding the Standards of Practice for Restricted Activities, Advanced Practice, and Supervision.

This module explores restricted activities as they relate to Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) scope of practice. LPNs can expect to learn about a variety of topics, including:

  • legislation that authorizes restricted activities,
  • standards of practice that describe the requirements for performing restricted activities,
  • common education and supervision requirements, and
  • the process for obtaining advanced authorization.

This free and interactive online learning module is suitable to assist LPNs in meeting the Learning Plan goals of the CLPNA’s Continuing Competence Program.
