Close to 700 Alberta practical nurse students and other applicants will soon discover whether they have passed.
Successful candidates who have applied for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) may receive an Active Practice Permit as early as next week.
For privacy reasons, exam results are not listed on CLPNA’s website and are not released over the phone.
Candidates are advised to thoroughly read the results package when they receive it.
The Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE) is national exam developed to protect the public by ensuring that the entry-level practical nurse possesses the competencies required to practise safely and effectively. Successful completion is required as part of entry requirements for most practical nurse regulators across Canada. The CPNRE is administered in every Canadian province and territory, with the exception of Quebec, three times per year.
