Previously-registered or retired LPNs may be needed to fight COVID-19 pandemic

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) is preparing, upon direction from Alberta Health, to expedite registrations of previously-licensed nurses to help the province manage the COVID-19 pandemic. If this occurs, the CLPNA may contact eligible previous members directly with this information.

Those interested must meet current reinstatement requirements including nursing practice hours within the previous four years and a criminal record check. Online application is available.
