An unprecedented need for qualified health professionals to administer COVID-19 vaccines is anticipated in the coming months.

In Alberta, Licensed Practical Nurses who have the education, training, and individual competence to administer immunizations safely are permitted to administer immunizations to individuals five years of age and older.

Now there is a LIMITED TIME opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses to obtain this education.

The Public Health Agency of Canada and Alberta Health have generously provided the CLPNA with a limited number of free registrations to the following bundle of online courses offered by the Canadian Pediatric Society:

Due to limited availability and eligibility requirements, LPNs must apply for this opportunity. The CLPNA will screen applicants and notify those approved for this educational opportunity by email.

Upon course completion, LPNs will be asked to report their success back to the CLPNA for tracking purposes.
