This page describes the process for applicants who were formerly registered with the CLPNA.
If this does not describe you, please take our applicant quiz.
To apply for reinstatement, you will need to have previously obtained registration as an Alberta LPN and meet the requirements of the CLPNA’s Policy: Actively Engaged Requirements for Registration and the Continuing Competence Program.
If you do not meet the requirements, please contact the CLPNA at registration@clpna.com.
If you are denied registration, you may be referred to the Alberta Licensed Practical Nurses Competency Exam (ALPNCE) – Touchstone Institute or to a refresher program.
Please note that you can only register for this exam after obtaining a referral from the CLPNA.
Applicants and registrants can expect these standards when interacting with the Registration Department at the CLPNA.
The Registration Service Standards policy outlines registration service standards at the CLPNA.
